5 Vintage Early 1950s Franciscan Ivy Dinner Plates Made in California

Description

These mid 20th century tea cups and saucers come from my sister who hardly used them.  They were made by Franciscan Ware in white pottery earthenware with hand painted light and dark green ivy leaves which are embossed.  The saucers have the mark on bottom which was used from 1949 - 1953 "FRANCISCAN MADE IN CALIFORNIA" (Photo # 4).  They measure 6 1/4" in diameter and 3/4" tall.  The saucers measure 2 5/8" tall and 3 3/8" in diameter across the top and their bottoms are marked "MADE IN USA" (Photo # 6) with one cup having a bolder mark (Photo # 7).  They are in excellent lightly used condition with no cracks, chips or noticeable wear.  This is the dinnerware pattern used by Lucy and Ricky in the I Love Lucy TV series.  They would be a nice addition to your Franciscan Ivy dinnerware and for a Mid Century Modern decor.  Carefully view all photos as they best depict condition and they are also considered to be part of the description and please ask all questions before bidding.  Buyer only pays shipping costs (no handling fees here) and these will ship at a packaged weight of 5 lbs.
