Description
This is a Japanese antique specialty box once used to store soup bowls. It has a Japanese calligraphy on the side,Suimono yaki
(soup bowl) 20 servings (see picture 3).
It was made in the tradition of old Japanese craftsmanship with wooden pin construction (see picture 8)
Having been used lovingly for nearly a century, along with a warm aged patina this antique storage box remains in
very
good
condition
.
It measures 5 1/2" wide by 11" deep by 10" tall (14 x 28 x 25.5 cm). A great piece of Japanese history with a wonderful warm aged patina.
