Description

Sony's MicroMV tapes are a rare format, and most video conversion services don't have the equipment to process it...
but I do!
As the world's smallest videotape format, MicroMV was revolutionary for its time -- but it was only ever supported by Sony, who quickly abandoned it after a few years. MicroMV video was also well-known to be difficult to transfer and edit on a computer, so trying to do this conversion yourself is not for the faint of heart!
But I have several MicroMV camcorders and special software to capture the digital data directly from the tape and save it as MPEG2 video files, which I can burn to DVD-R disc, or save to a USB flash drive, SD card, or Memory Stick provided by you. For the best quality possible, I can fit one hour of video on a DVD, or it will take up about 5 gigabytes per hour of video on your USB drive or memory card, so make sure it has enough room to fit the amount of video you wish to have converted. I can convert it to smaller video files or use a longer recording mode on the DVD if you want, but the quality won't be as good.
My flat rate is .49 per MicroMV tape, including the DVD and free return postage to anywhere in the USA.
If you want your video saved on a USB flash drive, SD card, or Memory Stick, just send those to me along with your tape(s). In either case, everything you send to me will be returned --
I don't charge extra to return your tapes!
The only shipping you pay for (on your own) is to send your tapes to me.
What if you don't have the power adapter to turn on your camcorder and eject the tape? Or is the camcorder broken and won't let you eject the tape?
No problem!
Just send your MicroMV camcorder to me and I will attempt to remove the tape so I can convert it. Just add the equivalent of two extra tapes to your order (.98) to cover the cost of this service and the return shipping. If you don't want the camcorder returned to you, there is no extra charge for this service. And if I am unable to remove the tape, or
if any MicroMV tape you send me is blank or unplayable, I will give you a full refund of its conversion cost
(.49 per tape).
Every minute of recorded video on your tape(s) will be transferred. Blank portions will be edited out. If you have several MicroMV tapes with only short amounts of video recorded on them, I can combine them onto one DVD if you want. DVD(s) will be shipped to you in paper sleeves and labeled as to which tape they are a copy of. My turnaround time is a week or less for small orders (less than 10 tapes), not including shipping time. For larger orders I will keep you updated and provide my best estimate of when your conversion will be completed.
If you have any questions or special requests, just send me a message at any time and I will be glad to help.
I offer a 30-day money-back guarantee to ensure your satisfaction with my service!
