Description
Bo- a long staff of wood or bamboo, sometimes of metal or sheathed with metal. Used in martial arts as a weapon. Associated with it wooden weapons can be considered jo and Hanbo (half Bo).
A full-length bo of 182 cm in length is called rokushakubo, this name comes from a Japanese tree (a tree) six shaku long, that is, a tree with a length of 6 shaku, but it can be longer than 270 cm. The thickness is usually 3 cm.

Hornbeam wood (European Hornbeam, Carpinus Betulus) has a beautiful white-gray shade, similar to ivory, with virtually no distinct fibers, such as ash or white acacia. The optimum density of the hornbeam, whose moisture content is 12%, is measured from 750 kg / m3 to 800 kg / m3. This wood is a valuable species with a very high density. For its properties, it is also called the "iron" tree. At shock loads that exceed the maximum critical threshold for this tree, it can leave such damage as micro dents and dents.
